Born in Islip, New York, Dr. Robert Rydstrom – affectionately known to his patients as Dr. Rob – began his academic journey at the University of Delaware where he pursued a double major in Biological Sciences and Liberal Studies and a minor in Business Administration. Following in his grandfather’s footsteps, he went on to get his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Temple University – Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA. Afterward, he went through a rigorous residency program at NYU Langone in Brooklyn, NY, where his unwavering passion for patient care blossomed.
Inspired by the principles and values that his grandfather instilled within him, Dr. Rob firmly believes that every patient should be treated with the same warmth and compassion that one would extend to a beloved family member. As an integral part of the dedicated team at Midtown Dental Group, Dr. Rob has made it his mission to ensure that all his patients experience a level of comfort, relaxation, and exceptional dental care that transcends the ordinary. His self-described perfectionism serves as the cornerstone of his approach to dentistry, where patient well-being and satisfaction always take center stage.
When he’s not busy being an exceptional dentist, Dr. Rob’s vibrant and multifaceted personality shines through. You can find him spinning tunes as a DJ at various venues throughout New York City, playing a wide array of sports (you name it, he’s probably played it), and spending time with his cherished family who he would like to thank for teaching him the importance of love, respect, and community.
